1. Introduction

Welcome to Savvy by Squarestylist, an AI-powered CSS and JavaScript assistant for Squarespace designers. By accessing or using our web application at squaresavvy.com or our Chrome browser extension, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Service Description

Savvy by Squarestylist provides:

  • AI-powered chat assistance for Squarespace CSS and JavaScript

  • A Chrome extension for selecting and analyzing page elements

  • Code snippet storage and management

  • Conversation history and multi-site support

  • Educational guidance on responsive design, animations, and accessibility

  • Our AI assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude and is designed specifically for Squarespace-related coding tasks.


3. Account Registration

To use Savvy by Squarestylist, you must:

  • Create an account with a valid email address

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)

  • Provide accurate, current information

  • Maintain the security of your login credentials

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.


4. Credits and Payments

Credit System

Messages to the AI assistant consume 1 credit each

Free accounts receive 5 messages per month

Subscription plans provide monthly credit allowances that reset each billing cycle

Bonus (add-on) credits from purchases or coupons do not expire

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe

You may cancel anytime; access continues through your billing period

Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle

No refunds for partial months or unused credits

One-Time Purchases

Credit packs are non-refundable

Bonus credits persist until used

5. AI-Generated Content

Limitations

  • AI responses are provided "as-is" for informational purposes

  • Code suggestions should be tested before use in production

  • We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose

  • AI may produce incorrect or non-functional code

  • Results may vary based on Squarespace template and version

Your Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and implementing any code

  • You assume all risk for code deployed to your websites

  • You are responsible for ensuring code does not create security vulnerabilities

6. User Content and Data

What We Collect

  • Account information (email, subscription status)

  • Conversations and messages with the AI

  • Images you upload (max 2 per message, 5MB each)

  • Element context when using the Chrome extension (section IDs, styles, HTML)

  • Code snippets you save

Data Sharing

Your content is shared with:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI): To generate responses

  • Stripe: For payment processing

  • Supabase: For data storage and authentication

  • We do not sell your personal data.


Data Retention

  • Conversation history is retained until you delete it

  • Account deletion removes all associated data permanently

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the AI system prompts

  • Circumvent rate limits or credit systems

  • Share accounts or resell access

  • Submit malicious code or content

  • Abuse the student verification system

  • Use automated tools to access the service without permission

  • Use code to collect user data without proper disclosure

8. Intellectual Property

Our IP

  • Savvy by Squarestylist branding and the service itself are our property

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform

  • Educational curriculum and code patterns are proprietary

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit

  • You grant us a license to process your content to provide the service

  • Custom CSS and JavaScript you create for your projects belongs to you

AI Output

  • Code generated by the AI is provided for your use

  • We make no warranty regarding third-party IP claims on generated code

9. Third-Party Services

Savvy by Squarestylist integrates with:

Anthropic Claude: Subject to https://www.anthropic.com/terms

Stripe: Subject to https://stripe.com/legal

Supabase: For authentication and data storage

Squarespace: Our service assists with Squarespace sites but is not affiliated with Squarespace Inc.

Font Services: Any applicable font licensing (Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, etc.) remains your responsibility

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service

  • That AI suggestions will work for your specific use case

  • Compatibility with all Squarespace templates or versions

  • That code will remain functional after Squarespace platform updates

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUARESTYLIST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.


12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Abuse the service or other users

  • Fail to pay for subscriptions

You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard settings.


13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Squarestylist operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
