01

Hi! My name is Audrey Thizy and I’m a Web Designer for Artists & Creatives based in Vancouver / Canada — France & Spain

02

Outside work you will often find me visiting art galleries or "flâner" with my camera in hand — capturing the rhythm, texture, and moments of everyday life.

03

But on a typical workday, I am usually working on inspiring websites for artists, creatives, and visionaries — shaping new ideas, searching for inspiration, developing visual identities, editing images, refining visual direction, and supporting my clients throughout the process.

04

My day usually starts with a latte!

05

Most of the time I am working on designing and developing custom websites.

06

What are your first memories of the Internet?

Opening my first email account and visiting the local cyber café once a week when I lived in Madrid— it felt like stepping into a new world. MySpace was genius at the time; I loved customizing my page and connecting through music and visuals.

07

What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?

Getting to know my clients — their passion, unique story, and vision — and translating it into a meaningful, visually aligned web presence. I feel genuinely honored to be part of that journey. I especially enjoy the process of discovery and creative interpretation, and the quiet satisfaction of bringing it all to life through design and code. There’s something deeply fulfilling about that moment when everything comes together and the magic happens.

08

What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?

Listening the radio or revisiting a photography book.

09

How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Modern. Bold. Minimalist.

10

Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?

There are so many! The Tabs workshops are definitely a favorite. I also regularly incorporate typography, animation and pseudo-element techniques to add personality, movement, and depth to each design.

11

What makes your work standout?

I have a diverse background in the arts, which allows me to bring a unique perspective and take a holistic approach — blending thoughtful aesthetics, creative technique, storytelling, and a deep sense of authenticity. My design work tends to be quietly expressive, intentionally structured, and thoughtfully aligned with each client’s voice and vision.

12

What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?

The program gave me the ability to bring my creative vision to life through code, along with design techniques that make it possible to create websites that are truly unique — yet still easy for clients to update. I’ve also deeply appreciated the care and attention to detail Rache brings to the program, her ongoing support and generosity, and the opportunity to learn so much from the inspiring Standout community.

13

What is your dream website project?

I love collaborating with people who are deeply invested in their creative journey, so my dream project is always one that gives space to an artist’s story — whether a filmmaker, musician, author, multidisciplinary creator, or performing arts collective — where design becomes a thoughtful vessel, blending narrative, imagery, and artistic identity into an immersive experience of their world.
