(STACK) After years of building my web design & education business, I've curated this collection of tools. These are the apps, services, and resources I rely on daily to run Squarestylist.
Pexels/Unsplash
Stock Photos
For client work, I rely on Pexels and Unsplash because they offer high-quality royalty-free images without ongoing licensing concerns. While they're not as unique as premium libraries, they're perfect when I need reliable stock photos that won't create legal complications for clients.
DTS
Stock Photography
DTS is my stock photo library of choice because I'm obsessed with their art direction and the uniqueness of their photography—it's so much more thoughtful than typical stock imagery. I use these primarily for my own brand and course materials since their licensing requires a continuous subscription, but the quality is worth it when I want something truly distinctive.
Cleanshot
Creating tutorial content
This is hands down the best screenshot tool I've ever used. I rely on it daily when responding to student or client questions. The annotation features are incredible, and the full-page screenshot capability is essential for capturing entire website designs.
Squarespace
Primary platform for building and hosting client websites
I've built my entire business around Squarespace because it gives me the perfect balance of user-friendly design tools and deep customization through CSS and JavaScript.
