(STACK) After years of building my web design & education business, I've curated this collection of tools. These are the apps, services, and resources I rely on daily to run Squarestylist.
TextPander
Streamlining repetitive typing tasks and maintaining consistent messaging
I have dozens of text snippets saved for common responses, code blocks, and email templates. It's especially useful for quickly inserting CSS code snippets and standard client responses without retyping everything.
Screenflow
Creating detailed tutorial videos and course content with professional editing capabilities
Screenflow is my go-to for creating detailed course content because the editing capabilities are so much more powerful than basic screen recorders. I love the ability to add callouts, zoom effects, and professional transitions to my tutorials.
Ivy of Canary and Hedge
Legal guidance for trademark protection and intellectual property matters
Ivy specializes in trademark law for creative businesses, which is exactly what I needed for protecting the Squarestylist brand. I appreciate her understanding of the online education space and clear communication about legal matters.
Megan Minns
Business coaching and strategic guidance
Megan helps me cut through the noise and clarify what I actually need to focus on each month. She's become my trusted confidant who keeps me grounded when I'm pulled in too many directions.
Voicenotes
Recording and organizing voice memos
I use Voicenotes for capturing ideas on the go and during client calls. The AI transcription is surprisingly accurate, and I love how it organizes my thoughts into searchable text that I can reference later.
Circle
Course and community hosting for Squarestylist programs and student engagement
I’ve loved using Circle as a community platform and now that it also hosts course, I’ve recently migrated our courses from Teachable too. My students love the discussion features, and I can easily organize content and track progress all in one place.
Superhuman
Business emails with enhanced productivity features
Superhuman transformed how I handle email. It replaces the need to hire a VA for managing my emails. The keyboard shortcuts alone save me hours each week.
Vimeo
Hosting course videos
I chose Vimeo over YouTube for my course content because of the privacy controls and professional presentation. I love that I can customize the player to match my brand, and the video quality is consistently excellent with searchable transcripts and up to 4K videos.
Thrivecart
Processing course sales
I switched to Thrivecart for my course sales because of its powerful affiliate management features. The checkout experience is smooth, and while the backend is a bit clunky, it’s quite robust!
Dropbox Sign
Managing client contracts
After trying several e-signature tools, I settled on Dropbox Sign because it integrates seamlessly with my existing Dropbox workflow. I really love the Template link option.
Cleanshot
Creating tutorial content
This is hands down the best screenshot tool I've ever used. I rely on it daily when responding to student or client questions. The annotation features are incredible, and the full-page screenshot capability is essential for capturing entire website designs.
Squarespace
Primary platform for building and hosting client websites
I've built my entire business around Squarespace because it gives me the perfect balance of user-friendly design tools and deep customization through CSS and JavaScript.
