01
Hi! My name is Sophie Rogozinska and I’m a Luxury Website Designer based in Liverpool, UK
02
Outside work you will often find me on a coffee date with my husband (we met in a coffee shop, so it's a little tradition!), long walks in the sunshine, planning our next European city break or immersed in a murder mystery book. (VIEW)
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually
up at around 6.30am to get a head start on the day. I get ready while my husband makes us coffee, and then I'm at my desk to have a look at emails and prioritise my task list for the day.
04
My day usually starts with coffee (of course!).
05
Most of the time I am working on beautiful branding + website designs for my incredibly talented clients.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
When I was little, my dad had his own upholstery business, and so my Mum was roped in every evening to help him with his invoicing and reports. This was the only reason we had a computer in the house, and it meant that (when my Dad wasn't using the landline!) my brother and I could use the dial up internet to play games and watch videos.
Then, came the MySpace, Bebo and MSN era, and from there social platforms as we know them more now.
I also created my first ever blog in blogspot (it was bad... it was SO bad), but this was what first gave me the bug for learning how to customise with CSS and - I didn't know it at the time - put me on the path to launching my studio years later.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Honestly, I love every stage. I love the strategy stage and getting into the detail of my clients' businesses and what their (often big!) goals are - I find it really inspiring, and I love the challenge of crafting something for them that will see them through from where they are now, to where they want to go.
I love the design phase, where I get to be completely creative and add details to their visual story that they may not have thought about themselves.
And then the development stage is always where I challenge myself - but it's a challenge I thrive on every time. As a certified UX and UI designer, I'm really passionate about making sure the user experience on my client sites is as seamless and delightful as it can possibly be.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
This may be predictable at this point... but coffee! I love taking a lunchtime walk to one of my local coffee spots to get a little afternoon caffeine hit. I live right by a river so when the sun is shining, it's my absolute favourite moment of the day.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words?
Feminine. Editorial. Modern. Timeless
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
More and more, I'm finding myself incorporating anything that adds beautiful, subtle interactivity and animations to my client sites. So anything with hovers, reveals or scrolling effects are current favourites - I find it adds that little touch of luxury that makes my clients stand out, without being overwhelming or too much for their website visitors.
11
What makes your work standout?
I genuinely enjoy every stage of building a website. From understanding my clients’ goals and shaping the strategy, to designing a visual identity that feels true to them, and then bringing it to life in development. As a certified UX and UI designer, I care deeply about creating sites that not only look beautiful but feel intuitive and easy to use, so the experience matches the quality of their work.
12
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
That (nearly) anything is possible when you know how. I came into this program with a pretty good knowledge of Squarespace having spent over 10 years running my own blog and first small business on the platform, but I truly believed you needed a completely custom site to make it standout.
This course has given me a wealth of knowledge around coding and developing websites on Squarespace, as well as the confidence to play around and develop my own designs, which means my clients are able to receive beautiful websites that are also super easy to edit and update themselves!
13
What is your dream website project?
Having recently got married, I would absolutely love to collaborate with a wedding photographer, planner, videographer, florist, or any other wedding professional in the industry. I just find their work so beautiful and inspiring, and I know that with their magic and my design style, we could create something truly exquisite. I would also adore collaborating with an interior design studio.

Hi! My name is Katherine Shuler and I’m a Brand & Web Designer based in Austin, TX, USA.
02
Outside work you will often find me unplugging through exercise, such as taking long walks in the neighborhood, boxing, and weight lifting. Sometimes, I find myself dreaming of new ways to refresh my home and dip into my interior design hobby. When it's time to relax, I either binge on reality TV or try out a new pasta recipe in the kitchen. (V I E W)
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually up around 6:30 AM and start my day by making a coffee protein shake. I then go through my inbox and adjust my schedule to prioritize tasks for the day. I try to take a quick walk outside, but if I can't, I make sure to get my steps in using a walking pad under my desk. My typical workload includes working on custom client websites and brands, handling UI/UX work for the agency I freelance for, and focusing on marketing for Rainey Studio. (V I E W)
04
My day usually starts with coffee
05
Most of the time I am working on website design, updates, and audits
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
When I was a little girl, I remember my dad bringing home a massive IBM desktop computer. I was immediately fascinated and spent many days of my childhood playing games such as The Sims. I eventually grew into the MySpace era, where I learned how to customize my profile using CSS. My love for technology and my traditional art background gave me clarity on what I eventually wanted to go to school for - Graphic Design.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I love creating a brand's online presence. Websites offer ample space to display a visual story and showcase the brand's personality through small interactions and animations, creating a unified system.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
I am really enjoying diving into and experimenting with Webflow and Framer as platforms to offer clients. As a designer who uses Figma every day, I find both web-based builders offer ample space for creativity and customization without feeling daunting or too complex.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Feminine. Timeless. Modern. Editorial
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
I frequently reference workshops that focus on galleries, hover interactions, and scrolling. Adding small customized touches of code can help a brand stand out from templated designs and give it a unique voice and personality on a digital platform.
11
What makes your work standout?
I have a diverse professional background that includes leadership in in-house start-up design and running my own studio. I've lived in Texas for over 10 years, where I've been inspired by the creative environment of Austin. However, I also draw inspiration from my Carolina roots, which are more classic and timeless, influenced by the beautiful landscape of tall trees and the Atlantic. I strive to create clean and elegant branding and website designs, using sophisticated typography to convey personality and employing strong art direction to establish a cohesive and timeless brand system that feels modern and fresh.
12
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Standout is incredibly organized, detailed, and thoughtful. I've gained a wealth of knowledge about web design and development, including responsive design best practices, strategic copywriting, SEO, optimization, and more. Rache is always available to assist, answer questions, give feedback, and support all her students. It's definitely a worthwhile investment.
13
What is your dream website project?
I would love to collaborate with an interior design studio that aligns with my aesthetic. The studio's website should have a sophisticated and classic design, displaying beautiful spaces with edge-to-edge media. In addition, I envision an accompanying e-commerce platform to sell their curated selection of furniture, decor, and other items that add warmth and personality to a home.

Hi! My name is Nancy Hatt Larson and I’m the Founder, Creative Director of Hatthaus, a boutique branding and website studio based in Covington, WA, USA.
02
Outside work you will often find me traveling, wine-tasting and talking to random dogs on the street.
03
My day usually starts with coffee and pajama time as I ease into the day, checking my e-mail, planning my day.
04
Most of the time I am working on new website designs, brand suites and learning (always learning!!!) new techniques and skills.
05
What are your first memories of the Internet?
Early on, people would talk about "surfing the web" like it was this private club for the intellectually elite. But, like most things, it really is simply about getting in there and trying it out. I originally hopped online because I had recently moved to Hawaii and wanted some things I couldn't find locally, but Christmas and two little girls waiting for Santa had other ideas. Enter...the internet. Magic!
06
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I love it all! The strategy, the design, even the hours of trouble-shooting to get the code just right.
07
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Sitting on the patio, the sun peaking through the trees, watching the birds, squirrels and bunnies play in my yard.
08
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Feminine. Timeless.
09
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Slideshow counters, Fluid Tabs Grid, Blog List Borders, Stylish Carousel Summary Block, Styling Accordions, and Lined Header.
10
What makes your work standout?
Timeless and elevated while maintaining a fresh and modern appeal. So, like your cool aunt who is in touch with the times but also has the experience to get results.
11
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
NIXIE
Website →This was a fun one, inspired by trips to the local farmer's market and an obsession with flower farmers. I created an ideal client, designed a brand identity and jumped in whole-heartedly to Squarespace. So many workshops that helped, but I would highlight the organization thanks to the border workshops, the beauty thanks to the portfolio and blog workshops, and the impact thanks to the footer reveal workshop.
HADLEY
Another fun one, inspired by a close friend in the design world. Again, a lot of research in creating a brand identity and strategy. The workshops on tabs on hover, sticky sections and a side menu were amazing, but also the tips found in the community helped finesse every little detail.
12
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
This has been the most comprehensive and supportive course I have ever taken. The skills are taught in a way that I think most creatives respond too, and the support is like having a helpful mentor sitting beside you.
13
What is your dream website project?
Anything that evokes the spirit of wine country living, whether in California, France or world-wide. The people and products/services/hospitality that understand that quality of living with ease you find in these areas. Hard work, yes, but also an appreciation of the beauty all around.
